I asked my favourite notary today.....

Can she act as an Notary Acceptor ?......She looked puzzled and said there is no such concept in Scotland....I asked her if I made an notarised affidavit stating that no responses had been received would this suffice.....She said Yes.

Do we retain the original or despatch the original notarised document.....The receiver would EXPECT the original.....

The copies do not pick up the press impression, is this a problem.....No, but you can copy them by shading over them with a pencil if you wish. The press is not an essential part of the process.

The advice was free aswell as the witnessing.....how cool.

Cheers HR

That answered a question for me. I wondered why they don't put the leaf/wafer on the seal, so if the impression
of the seal isn't that important then I guess it's just laziness. And probably because they don't bother to buy them in
the first place.
