Hi Jonboy,
Your reply to the avoiders of questions was bloody fabulous!
Truly well done.

We have a 20 yr old german ex ambulance that is now a basic camper, and we still pay bloody road tax on it.
I questioned this and was told that the exemption for older vehicles was scrapped.
We also pay silly insurance which to me is a complete fraud. sad thing is we're all feared into complying.
Utter robbery!
I think this forum is really kicking ass with all this crap.
it's gonna get busy Veronica!

Peace

i knew i wouldnt get a straight answer, even though 'they' probably thought they did answer me comprehensively. If i dont get anywhere I am going to send off my v5 documents transferring ownership to a completely fictitious name and address ( yes I know all names and addresses are fictitious, but you know what I mean!! ) then I shall grind off chassis numbers and change plates. FUCK EM! :D

Jon, you could put my name & address on the V5.

I think, somehow, they might just run into a little bit of a problem with that.

For example if Jon Hallam transferred KEEPERSHIP to Veronica: of the Chapman family ... might just create a little wrinkle on their database? And when they take no notice and start sending letters to "MS. VERONICA CHAPMAN" ... and start getting letters back saying "Who dat?".

ill bear that in mind, thanks! :D obviously you will be bombarded with tax renewal demands and so on, but they will not be able to find the car/van to crush, as it will be in my posession. And any speeding/parking issues will not be traceable to either of us, as the plates etc will be foreign. I will give it some thought over the next few days.

Tax renewal demands will be sent to "MS. VERONICA CHAPMAN". That will be obvious through the window of the envelope.

They would be returned, unopened, with a covering letter from "Veronica: of the Chapman family" saying "Sorry, no legal fictions subservient to Statute Law jurisdiction live here. Only a Human Being, under Common Law jurisdiction, lives here. If you need to communicate, then you'll need to communicate to a Human Being under Common Law alone"

the story just gets better, they now are trying to define a vehicle, classic!

Well ... yes ... it is certainly a revelation to know that a vehicle is defined as a vehicle.

And also to know that Common Law is (conveniently?) inapplicable.

What is happening here is, of course, is that Jon is in conversation with organic robots. What it actually demonstrates is that we do not need to build robots, since we can just breed them naturally ... as & when boy-meets-girl..

veronica, I have in my possesion a set of authentic italian number plates, ( my car is an alfa) I am going to keep my UK ones on until my tax disc expires in may, then I might just take you up on your offer, the windows are fairly dark tinted and the fact that the car is right hand drive might go un-noticed to the untrained eye, I try not to draw attention to myself anyway. The chassis number will be removed too. The car will be parked at a discreet location most of the time. I will maintain the car to a high level, as I always do, and may even carry on with MOTs, but the identity of the car could be a problem here. I am going to use my van as my primary transport anyway, but still havent decided what style of plates to use for the van, maybe irish, but I have the suspicion that irish plates can be traced easily by british authorities, Cyprus might be another option (right hand drive).

Hi all!

Just a thing.
I remember reading in somebody's ahem "newspaper" a while ago, that traffic wardens (whatever their tite this week) and some cops avoid dealing with vehicles displaying polish, slovak, russian etc plates cos it's an arse pain to track the real keeper.
May be true, may not, i dunno.
summat to ponder eh?

Peace
