BLD on order ... yet again!

Black's law Dictionary has been ordered from Borders, UK. My last order was cancelled (the suppliers didn't have a copy, after all)

The problem with buying this thing is that there so many editions. And many adverts don't specify which edition they are actually offering.

What I've ordered is the 8th Edition (the latest at this time).

Hopefully I'll be able to post 'scans' of the pages of whatever definitions we need.

(The 'Digital Edition' requires a yearly subscription. It can't be bought on a CD, so that's not much use).

I'll probably start a new Forum subsection for this information, so as to provide a 'lookup' system.

V, there is a hardback copy of 8th edition on ebay for £45, item number 190287053164. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190287053164
Not sure how much you paid but this seems fairly reasonable.

Here's a link to a torrent of Black's Law Dictionary 1st and 2nd editions, but it is scanned in jpeg images which is very ergonomic http://www.mininova.org/tor/2328015 if you don't already use a torrent program then I would suggest utorrent is pretty effective.

Yes ... yes ... yes ... but read what I said. You have to be careful about 'editions'.

It's kind of you to suggest those links, but the Mininova one is for 1st + 2nd Editions. (I already have a Pocket 2nd Edition, and it's crap)

The eBay one ... (ended anyway) ... but which edition was it?

(Actually the copy I've ordered is costing £49, brand new, and that includes postage, and is the LATEST, 8th, Edition)

Oh ... I forgot to mention ... it arrived ... A4 -sized, hardback, about 1 1/2" thick, and mega-heavy. (Excellent for holding Castle Gates open)
