Hi hv

Alien was making a point that people (employees) wouldn't be covered at a weird time of day....where I'm saying people would be covered all the time, because the "contract" would say you represent the company at all times (not just sometime)....ie all material times.

FMOTL Michael has posted this

Yes indeed.

The Court Funds Office have also stated in writing that the permission of the Secretary of State for Transport is required before the Accountant General can accept the deposit. Said secretary would seem to have no legal recourse to refuse an honourable request to do so.

FMOTL Michael - can you point to the source of this info or link to the letter stating this?

LI3.9 Motor Contingent Liability
We will pay You for Your legal liability for accidental Bodily Injury and Damage to Property which arises from any vehicle or trailer attached thereto which is

(a) not owned by and not loaned leased hired or rented to You nor provided by You and
(b) being used in connection with the Business in the Defined Territories

However We will not pay

(c) for Damage to the vehicle or trailer or goods carried in or on the vehicle or trailer
(d) while the vehicle is being driven by
(i) You other than a Person Employed by You
(ii) any person who to Your knowledge or that of Your representatives does not hold a licence to drive the vehicle unless such person has held and is not disqualified from holding or obtaining such a licence
(e) where indemnity is provided by another Policy or Certificate of insurance

Unfortunately this policy is more tightly worded than the last - I'm not sure how this clause is of any use whatsoever! Essentially it's only of use where an employee is using a vehicle provided by another company, and the employee is at fault. :(

HEy HR - back after a fair bit of time in the boonies!

I'm with you on this one - would also be interested in an update re your un-registered private transport, as I am planning on de-registering mine pretty soon.

Best regards

:peace:

It applies also to the vehicle personally owned, leased, hired etc by the employee in the pursuit of your business.

It is basically a waste of the paper it takes up.
