To get round the de-registering issue (which I have done but the DVLA will not accept), I was thinking of registering my car in France and Spain. Then for 6 months of the year I would display the French plates and for the other 6 months the Spanish plates. This would stop the old bill saying you can only keep the vehicle in the country for 185 days then it has to be taken out for 185 days or you register it in Britain. After all it's not the vehicle that they refer to it's the reg number. The reg number is the car's legal fiction isn't it? Do you think it would work?

What if you bought a private plate in the name of the trust? Just an idea. :peace:
